Facilities at Owning House Retirement Village

STAFF: Owning House Retirement Village has a friendly, dedicated core staff for administration, cooking and maintenance and is augmented by the Community Employment Scheme and helpful Volunteers.

 

HEATING: The houses are heated by electric storage heaters with the running cost included in the rent.

SECURITY: The complex is patrolled at night and at weekends by a local Security Company who are contactable by the touch of a button via the ‘Emergency Response System’.

OTHER ENTITLEMENTS: Residents may be entitled to government phone allowance, T.V. licence etc.

EMERGENCY BUTTONS: Personal panic buttons with 24 hour response is provided through the ‘Emergency Response’ company who can contact relations or Emergency services as required.

MEALS: A freshly cooked nutritious four-course meal is served daily in the dining-room of the main house.

HOUSEWORK: Assistance is given where needed with cleaning and vacuuming. House and ground maintenance is undertaken by the committee.

LAUNDRY: Laundry Service is provided and is free of charge.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES: Social evenings, Summer and Christmas outings are organised by the Social Committee.

TRANSPORT: The Ring-a-link rural bus and local taxis provide transport to near-by towns such as Carrick-on-Suir
